September Issue

this month

It is the start of the -ber months, and all the Autumn girls gather. With their chai or pumpkin spice lattes. Yankee candles lit in their rooms and cozy sweaters. Well, scratch all that…because it is still 75+ degrees in the city, and we can’t live out Autumn girl dreams just yet.

Or maybe it got older later this month, so we were okay. It dropped to 64 in 2 days and I was able to wear my hoodies and cardigans. It was a little shocking but good news to the Autumn loving girlies.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Insta

I officially made an Instagram account for Lanalog and found so many people supporting and following. I post little things there, updates on new blogs, daily life, and cutesy content. It shows my love of the 2000s, fashion, and updates on products and so on.

I love to promote my blog on there. I see that my love for content creation is being put into action now, and that started with the LANALOG Insta account.

September’s Blog posts

Everything I wrote in September. It was a slow yet fast month. There were lot’s of events and work and I haven’t written a lot but again quality over quantity 🙂

“Jewelry Piece of the Week I“

“Romanticizing Your Ordinary Life”

“What’s The Point of Being Mysterious?”

What’s on repeat?

“Just one” – Olivia C. Dacal.
Her chord progressions and vocal choices were amazing in this song. Her ad-libs and harmonies are catchy. A yearning kinda song. I like songs that feel that way. An almost hopeless romantic kind of way.

There’s this band, Amen, and they have soft/hard rock Christian music, and I’ve been loving this genre for months now but couldn’t find Christian rock. And now I did, and their music is fascinating. It’s giving early 2000’s punk rock.

“Please Don’t Go” – Last Known Species.
The nostalgic synth of the 80’s lives in their music. It’s melancholic and bittersweet. I like this song on a night highway drive. It’s lonely but hopeful.

Activity

Going back to the gym with the cutest fits is one of the best feelings. I went to the YMCA for the first half of the year, then stopped in the summer. Makes sense since I barely had time to go. Once Autumn/ September hit, my brother and I got a membership at Planet Fitness.

It isnt as bad as I thought it would be. The space is quite large and has plenty of machines. I believe it depends on what time we want to go. Consistency is a hard part of starting up a workout regimen again. So now that my brother and I are going, I have more motivation and a set time to go.

Beauty

One thing I will always do is keep my nails done. This month I had a sparkly baby pink short nail set done. It was low maintenance and minimal. Baby pink does that because it doesn’t draw attention to your hand, but it looks well-kept and clean. It would either have a pink base underneath, or I would put the sparkle on my bare nail.

A fresh set makes you feel put together. My top nail colors I rotate over the year are dark red, white, and baby pink. Those colors are low maintenance and work with any fit. When I have time or want something other than a solid, I turn to a thick French tip. A classic design.

It’s weird because I usually put on a red nail when fall hits, but lately been obsessed with pink. I bought a pink matching sweat set (I never wear pink); the bed set is pink, and now my nails are too.

Fashion

I’ve had Desi Wedding events this month, so I was able to wear outfits I haven’t worn in a while. Of course, I would want to get good pictures to show you. When it comes to Indian outfits, I also emphasize the makeup. Depending on the style of the Indian attire, I create a heavier Makeup look, or a super minimal look if the colors are lighter or the style of the attire. Black…I will always be found wearing black. I have a black top in many styles.

My favorite fit of the month as to be this mini-skirt crochet cardigan combo. It was a perfect blend of summer to fall (in my opinion). I notice I wear a lot of red in my photos, you probably assume it’s my favorite color, but it’s actually pink. Red is third on the list.
I paired this fit with my black cowboy boots and a leather black purse to balance it out. And of course the sun hasn’t gone a way so my fave sunglasses, and my watch as accessories.

I think september is a great month to start experimenting with clothing and outifts. The change in weather, colors, and the season overall make you want to change it up a bit. Since it is still warmer my skirts will still be worn, the cardigans will make an appearance and layering is BACK. Boots of all shapes and lengths are back, Long sleeves and crewnecks. I can’t wait for what October might bring for our inspo in fashion.

The gym fit of the month is this burgundy set with flared pants and a fitted zipper top. I love this set because it is so soft, stretchy, and comfortable to move in. It’s giving Pilates princess but darker. A matching set will ALWAYS make you feel like a baddie. Even the guys can wear a gym set that matches. It makes one look put together and ready to work out. Like one of my old posts said, “You look good, you feel good, you do good”. Something like that.

But girl, sometimes you aren’t feeling it. I get it; we aren’t here cause we are perfect. So throw on that oversized shirt and pants and call it a day. You worked out; check that box!

I love a good “all-black fit”. I throw it on and leave the house is a my favorite accessories! I love having my Apple watch to count steps, my earring stack and I ALWAYS have my Swarovski bracelet on. I barely ever take it off and its timeless!

One accessory I’ve been OBSESSED with are my mom’s old sunny’s. It’s a staple in my September wardrobe. It’s brown and neutral so it works with any outfit. It’s giving Y2K so the second I wear it, it needs bold lips as a pair. I like how it covers half my face so even bare faced I can leave my house.

Well, this was September for me, Angels. I hope yours was eventful. I feel like I am doing my best to savor this month
because the -ber months move quick. We barely got a chance to vibe with the fall,
also considering half of September was pretty much summer. Overall, chill month.

See you next month, angels ♡
